FX UNDERGROUND is lead by Sean Taylor with over 13 years in the Special Effects industry.

With a career in administrative management and human resources following his attendance at UCLA, Sean Taylor entered the makeup effects industry in 1994 as an assistant production coordinator and computer graphics designer at Steve Johnson's XFX, Inc.

Sean was rapidly promoted to production coordinator, and worked on such films as "Kiss the Girls", "Dante's Peak", "Phantoms", "Sphere", "Turbo Power Rangers", "The Eraser", "Nightwatch" and "Blues Brothers 2000", as well as the television shows "Stargate: SG1", "The Outer Limits", "Poltergeist", and "Power Rangers". In 1997, Sean was promoted to Production Manager at XFX and was responsible for overseeing makeup/animatronic effects on "Bicentennial Man", "General's Daughter", WB's "Charmed", Steven King's "Storm of the Century" and Sci Fi Channel's "First Wave" among many other projects.

After six years at XFX, Sean joined MASTERSFX in January 2000. After heading-up makeup effects for such projects as John Singleton's "Baby Boy", HBO's "Six Feet Under" and USA's "Beer Money", Sean was promoted to Vice President/Producer in 2001 where he continued to play a significant role in the company's growth and development.

In 2004 Sean joined The Jim Henson Company as Production Supervisor of Jim Henson's Creature Shop in Los Angeles, with oversight of the New York Henson production shop.

In 2005 Sean observed that significant changes were occurring in the Special Effects industry. With the growth and evolution of Television programming toward 'CSI' and Reality TV content, the need for an ever increasing supply of high quality, but cost effect prosthetic and makeup effects would be needed. On this basis, FX UNDERGROUND was formed in 2006.
